EPs was founded by a motley group of locals who to the somewhat reluctant permission granted by their spouses decided the crazy ideas they were floating about were more than just a dream. They were actually coming together to make a place that they surmised would be like no other in the greater Peoria area.
So what about the name? Obviously meant to mean East Peorias Timeout, right? Well yes and no. The meaning can be whatever you would like. We would like to think of our place as Every Persons Timeout.
Before there were sports bars, franchises, corporate-owned chains, or ethnic restaurants, people met at neighborhood pubs and restaurants. This is where people congregated to see old friends, meet new people, get the latest news, enjoy themselves and relax. Whether it was to escape the rest of the world or catch up on the days events, the local spot depicted a persona all its own. We want you to consider EPs your local spot and neighborhood meeting place.
We want all our patrons to have fun and feel comfortable at EPs; whether youre a kid stopping by after the big game, a group of friends meeting for dinner, the gang from work meeting to solve the worlds problems or to catch a quick breakfast before a big weekend -we think EPs is a place you can call home.
With 14 beers on tap, 20-plus flat screen tvs and a huge wide screen projector, EPs offers a family friendly environment for family gatherings, alumni reunions or any other celebration. EPs also boasts a huge private party room that can accommodate up to 75 people.
